In less than 24 hours ill be on my way to the next, and perhaps biggest, adventure of my life. Ready or not, Dominican Republic here I come! But seriously...I think I'm ready. I think.
I have prepared as much as I can while keeping my sanity and not letting my worries, fear, or human anxiety distract me from the joy and moments I have been able to share with those I am closest with over these past few months.
It is abundantly clear that God is in this trip through the overflowing blessings that have come my way over the past few months. Thanks to generous friends, family, co-workers and cross-fitters, I have met and exceeded my fundraising goal, found two girls to sublet my apartment and have been able to get whatever I needed for my trip.
I have started to get to know the 13 students that I will be in charge of and am excited to put real faces with names and get to know and influence their hearts. Oh yeah, and by 'in charge' I mean...IN CHARGE! As in I am not only the student life coordinator, but God has made it so that I will also be the director as well. HUGE change in my plan, but not in Gods plan. So in that I am holding tight to the promise that "when I am weak, He is strong." (2 Corinthians 12:10)
