Jamaica MON!

Wow...It's Wednesday night and so much as gone on.

We arrived at our Villa at about 6pm Saturday night, just in time for a breath-taking sunset. Although we took time to enjoy the sunset, we felt the presence of God more than ever after our terrifying, winding, opposite-side-of-the-road, 2 hour drive from the Montego Bay airport to our villa in Whitehouse. For those of you even thinking of coming to Jamaica i have 3 words for you...GET A DRIVER!! My knuckles have never been so white, and I have never held my breath deeper or closed my eyes tighter...I even figured out a plan for my life...God did not want me to die in Jamaica.

Saturday ended with a beer and an early night. PJ and his girlfriend were to arrive on Sunday and we decided to spend the money and hire a driver to go get them from the airport. THANK THE LORD!! Sunday was a day of relaxing and getting our first day of sun under our belts...we have our own pool and personal chef who makes us whatever we want at the drop of a hat...he makes the best Pina Coladas with fresh pineapple. PJ and Bri arrived around sunset and we had dinner and hung out by the pool, catching up and telling of our death-defying drive.

Monday started the same as Sunday and so will pretty much every day on our vacation. Tanning from 8am-noon, then up and out for some adventure. Dad needed to go do something so we packed up the car, visitied the near by Sandals resort to inquire about day passes and then set off towards Negril. We got about half way, found a Burger King and feasted on a well needed taste from the states, hamburgers and french fries. From there we turned around and found a beach to walk along and some nice blue ocean to swim in. After an hour or two there, we came back to the villa.

Whitehouse is definately not a well populated city and the 3rd world country feel is pretty apparent down here. So Tuesday was spent in a white person's paradise...Sandals Resort. We each got day passes...a day is from 10am-6pm, but the concierge whispered to us as we walked through: "They really don't kick you out at 6...just have a good time!" And boy did we! The day pass was all inclusive, that means all you can eat, all you can drink, all you can swim, float, snorkel, kayak, waterski...you name it!! We definitely got our money's worth! We ate, swam, drank, played, drank some more, ate some more (Pizza and steak...gotta love the American food...well Pizza is Italian, but you know what i mean!)...and swam and floated and swam and floated! It was amazing! We're thinking about going back for another day but we'll see what each day holds!

Wednesday started out with tanning and lounging by the pool, and the plan was to go to a local waterfall...we had a great time! It wasn't the famous Dunn's Falls that everyone talks about, but it was 4 hours closer and just as beautiful and refreshing. After that it was home for some relaxing and coconut shirmp and a movie since it was raining outside...Oh and did I mention another beautiful sunset tonight?? (Pictures have yet to be uploaded...more to come tomorrow!)

Thursday looks like horseback riding and some local flava, and who knows what to do Friday!!

For those of you reading, I'm still alive and me and Jesus are better friends than ever!!! I'll write more later and talk to you on Sunday I'm sure! Take it easy MON!
